When we were deciding what vehicle would best embody the spirit of Beldi Motor Club, the answer was obvious: the Renault 4L.
A Brief History
The Renault 4 was produced from 1961 to 1992 and became one of the most popular cars ever made in France — and exported all over the world, including Morocco, where it quickly became ubiquitous.
In Morocco, the 4L was everything: a family car, a farmer's vehicle, a mountain-road warrior. It drove the souks, the ksars, the oasis roads of the south. It carried spices and children and tajines. It is part of the country's DNA.
Why We Cut the Roof
The genius of our concept is simple: Marrakech is best experienced through all five senses. The sounds of the call to prayer, the smell of spices and cedar wood, the warmth of the sun on your face...
A closed car insulates you from all of that. So we took the roof off.
Our Fleet
Each of our 4Ls has been lovingly restored and maintained. The engines are reliable, the interiors have been upholstered in quality fabric, and the bodywork has been repainted in our signature terracotta palette.
We treat these cars not as props but as vehicles for genuine adventure. And they love it.
